These quality Robert Sorby tools are ideal for making bowls.
The fingernail shape of this gouge allows increased flexibility allows for 'pull' cuts - to avoid catching the lathe bed.
A greater cutting tip area can be used, for massive profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts as necessary.
Easily maintained and sharpened using the Robert Sorby ProEdge sharpening system. These fingernail tools have a deep flute grind unlike spindle gouges.
